This morning we woke up for our Sea day traveling by Gibraltar and through the Straits to arrive in the morning in Lisbon. It was a little foggy so here's my picture of the Rock-

Also there is a brunch onboard today…

Just a few of the stations!
NOW ON TO LISBON!

Look familiar? Entering the harbor under the sister bridge to the Golden Gate.

Average residential area

Bull fighting ring. The bull isn’t killed during the fight. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t die though…killed afterwards and the meat is given away. So still not a great outcome for the bull….

Aqueduct
War memorial with the ever lit flame in the center of the monument

Belem Tower. Since the 16th century it was the site of the explorers embarkation and disembarkation.

While at the tower this little truck pulled up: Wine on the go…brilliant idea!

The Jeronimos Monastery

Beautiful entrance to the Cathedral

The lines for admission went around the block almost. We only looked at the outside, but we visited inside a few years ago when we were here

Just down the street from the Monastery is the original Pasteis maker.. this little custard tart is the delight of heaven!
We decided to jump from the tour and walk around Lisbon ourselves..It was fun to revisit some of our happy memories.

The mosaic pattern on the central square
We went around the corner for our shot of GinJin

A morello cherry liquor

After drinking your shot you spit the pits of the cherries

Beautiful tile work on building walls throughout the city

Our snack: a pile of grilled sausages, bread and Vino Verde

The Praco do Comercio

We visited a wine tasting room while at the Praco

Even the roads in Lisbon have tiles

Walking to the terminal we find more tile work mosaics and artwork.
Today was a great day for us. With joy we were happy to find that the businesses that we last visited had survived the Covid years and that the city still brought us great happiness. It was fun to revisit the city and we look forward to coming back in the near future !
