With a new tire we can enjoy the area!

This is where I left off last night…plus a flat tire on the rental car. This morning early the tow truck came and Al and I hitched a ride with hm and the rental ( a Volvo Station wagon) and headed to the tire place 30 minutes away.  We enjoyed our chat as we drove along. He had a strong accent and it took a few minutes to be able to truly understand what he was saying.. He entertained us with stories about some of the interesting tows he’s provided over the years. And We learned a new descriptive term - Trolly Lollys… young women with makeup, fake eyelashes, tight clothes and dating football players.  Anyway, he made the journey go fast! Then at the tire dealer we started talking F1 racing with the owner and the wait was over before we knew it!  After getting the new tire on we headed back to our Air B&B and picked up Susan and Steve and we headed to a little town named Broadway for a pub lunch. the Crown and Trumpet. We were the only American accents in the place. It was awesome!!

The Broadway tower, a privately owned folly with rooms and a view

What a nice view!
Next up was a town named Chipping Camden.
A WW1 memorial

City hall where at the street level meeting the building I found this little mail box!

The Medieval Market took place here. It is now a protected building
I couldn’t believe the wooden ceiling!

Still celebration the Coronation
Finally we headed to the Lower Clopton Farm Shop to pick up some fresh market items for our dinner tonight. The staff were friendly and had great suggestions of what we should try. Tonight will be bangers and mash. With a Cotswold Gin and Tonic before dinner and a Victoria Sponge for our pudding.

Tomorrow we pack our things and leave this delightful place and head to Liverpool!
