Flexibility is the name of the game

Today is our first real Expedition on the Zodiacs! All I really care to do is not fall into the water….I wont care if I see magnificent birds, fresh fish or exciting trees… JUST DO NOT let me fall out!

Point Pelé is a point of Canada that juts into Lake Erie. It is a Canadian National Park and it is where we will enter thru immigration.

Ariel view from the internet. Looks so wild and exciting doesn’t it?
Unfortunately, the winds have picked up , there are whitecaps everywhere and the swell is 4 ft… in the interest of safety, ( after anchoring, receiving immigration officers on board to clear the ship) the captain has decided that it is too risky to try to get us even a short zodiac ride along the shore. Here’s some nice pictures of what we might have experienced
Look at that amazing coastline and most likely gobs of wildlife

A nice nature hike might have been enjoyable.
Instead we attended lectures on birds, I did laundry and Al and I tied for first in a science trivia! This afternoon is relaxing and watching life go by from our wonderful room window.

Tomorrow we have a full day of wine tasting and Niagara Falls boating
