Drake Passage… Lake or shake??? For me it’s all the same.

First a few pictures of wildlife…

today we have spent the night in the Drake Passage and although for me its always rocking and rolling, for most everyone else it has been a lake  rather calm with small swells what is that in the distance? Ice!

Floating chunks getting bigger and bigger!

I didn’t crop this one as I wanted to show you just how close it feels to the ship!

We are getting closer to some of the islands that border the continent.

The winds made it unsafe to use the scheduled water toys today, so we spent the day with art classes, lectures, visiting and playing games. Below are a few of the pictures I took during the day as we sailed along.

The evening we went to dinner with our friends and grabbed a picture with our favorite waiters..
And I think the rainbow is a good place to stop this for tonight.  We have seen many of these this trip and I think it is a good omen for our sailing.
